Front Track Bar Modifications:
Changing your ring and pinion ratio and/or tire size will cause an inaccurate reading of your speedometer. Replacement of the speedometer gear is a simple procedure that takes minutes to complete. The chart below lists ring and pinion ratios and tire size. Simply select the proper configuration of your vehicle from the chart.

The purpose of the front track bar is to locate the axle side to side in the vehicle. The track bar raises and lowers with the suspension movement in an arc that matches the arc of the drag link. In order to allow this movement, the ball joint on the frame end of the track bar fits into a socket and is held in place by a very tight spring.
