Aloha!  In September, Teraflex had the pleasure of attending a new store Grand Opening for Ohana Trails.  The new shop is located in Pearl City, Hawaii, which created a great opportunity for us to not only be a part of a celebration of Jeep awareness, but to have a uniquely tropical 4x4 experience ourselves. Everyone got involved for the event to make it a success.  Ohana Trails raffled off numerous prizes for the locals while we ran the RTI ramp (ramp travel index) .  Additionally, local participants were afforded the occasion to sign up with the Hawaii 4x4 Association.  Although it was just one day in September, Jeepers all over Oahu were united in 4x4 elation. Following the event, Rich Tuason (Owner of Ohana Trails) took us on a trail; he provided scenic views amongst breathtaking landscapes as we meandered upon the tropic trails of Oahu. Differing from the red rock of Utah, we found ourselves navigating through a deep-green island jungle.  We took a trail that ascended above Dillingham Airfield and in the distance we could see the popular North Shore.  When it came time for lunch, we enjoyed watching people who were kite boarding.  Likewise, there were tourists who soared through the air operating old biplanes and gliders. What a sight! Soon we were back on the trail enjoying the natural terrain riding in our Teraflex equipped Jeep.  Like all trails in life, this experience finally came to a close.  But we had a great deal of fun along the way with Ohana Trails providing great hospitality. Mahalo nui loa for the invitations to such a special event! [nggallery id=261]
